I’m a behavioral scientist and statistician with seven years of experience researching interpersonal perception: how do we understand one another in person, online, and in the classroom? In doing so, my work has built analytic pipelines that transcribed and analyzed 20 years of video-recorded conversations to understand what the best cues are for understanding what someone is thinking, examined emotional and semantic drift in approximately 8 million Tweets discussing ‘cancel culture’ on social media, and used survey data to understand how students’ feelings of belonging impact how they interpret ambiguous academic feedback
Based in Minneapolis, if I’m not wrangling data at my desk, I’m either getting lost in the woods with my dog, trying to bake as well as my grandfather, or working on the NYT crossword.
